與現在 / 未來事實相符
if (現在式), 現在 / 未來簡單式
e.g.
If I have enough time, I visit my parents every month.
If I have enough time tomorrow, I will visit my parents.
與現在事實相反
If (過去式), would + V
e.g.
If I had enough time now, I would visit my parents.
(事實上是現在沒時間去看爸媽)
與過去事實相反
If (過去完成式), would have + P.P.
e.g.
If I had had enough time last weekend, I would have visited my parents.
(事實上是上個周末沒時間去看爸媽)
補充 - 時態混合的例子
If I had eaten breakfast several hours ago ( 過去), I would not be hungry now ( 現在).
(若之前有吃東西, 現在就不會餓了)
If he were a studient (現在), he would have studied for the test (過去).
(如果他是好學生的話, 他就會讀書準備這個考試)
